      We Believe...
* Children are naturally curious.
* Children learn best through hands-on, multisensory experiences.
* Play is essential for a child's growth and development.
* Activities should be open-ended and focus on the whole child.
* A child's social/emotional, physical and intellectual growth is interconnected.
* Learning happens in the process of doing.
each child is unique and can set indvidualized learning goals.
* Children develop at varying rates.
* All chidlren have the right to learn and should have access to meaningful educational experiences.

Here at Hopkins we are proud to have two preschool classrooms licensed by the State of Colorado.  Our licensed program allows us to take children at the age of two and a half.  Our program is designed to recognize each child as a unique individual with special gifts ready to be discovered.  We promote the development of social, emotional and academic growth through a variety of age-appropriate activities in a safe and nurturing environment.  We prepare children for kindergarten by providing meaningful experiences that enhance optimal growth in social, emotional, and cognitive development in a play-based atmosphere.  Our classrooms are staffed with experienced and caring teachers that are continuously seeking further education in the realm of early childhood.

We incorporate all 8 of the following centers into each weekly theme.
Art

Small Motor
Math
Language

Blocks

Science
Music/Circle Time

Dramatic Play

than to repair broken men."  ~Frederick Douglass

"Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."  ~Pablo Picasso

"While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about."
~Angela Schwindt

"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow,
yet we forget that he is someone today."  ~Stacia Tauscher

"Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present,
which very few of us do."  ~Jean de la Bruyere

"Your children need your presence more than your presents."  ~Jesse Jackson

"Don't worry that children never listen to you;
worry that they are always watching you."  ~Robert Fulghum

"Children are our most valuable natural resource."

"Hugs can do great amounts of good — especially for children." Princess Diana, Princess of Wales

"They say it takes a whole village to raise a child,
but no one ever says where it is or how to get there!" ~Unkown

      * WE ARE A PEANUT FREE ENVIRONMENT!
We have a severe peanut allergies in our preschool; therefore it is crucial that
we maintain a peanut free environment!  Please do not send anything that
contains peanuts in your children's lunches! Thank you for your cooperation!

* On various Wednesdays throughout the year we have a PLC day, which is a
late start at 10:36! Preschool does not recognize these late starts.

  * If your child is dropped off after 9:00 A.M. and your child
is having hot lunch, the option will be chicken nuggets only!

*Please feel free to call or email Megan Jensen for any scheduling and/or billing inquiries!
